Hull RUFC vs Sheffield Tigers RUFC: Match Preview

Games don’t get much bigger than this for Hull this season. Their well worked victory last week brought them right back into the mix. Much will depend on results elsewhere but if Hull can repeat last weeks heroics they will take a step closer to safety.

Stand off half Reece Dean is injured so his place goes to Harry Gunn- McLean who has played well in that position when called upon. Both he and full back James  Farrar are goal kickers so one of them will take over that responsibility from the injured Reece Dean.

The rest of the backs are as last week but with the welcome return of former Hull FC player Jamie Shaul on the bench as the back substitute,

The pack will operate without back rower Harvey Harding  with his Josh Ratuvou starting at flanker.

Hull’s bench sees a full front row of Charlie Beech, Latu Kivalu , and Oliver Fretwell along side the returning second row man Liam Regardsoe. Those four will be used and will add real power at some stage in the game.

Sheffield Tigers have recovered from a poor start to the season but have already secured their league status for next season.

In the corresponding fixture before Christmas Hull were well in the game until the last quarter and they can do better than that this Saturday.

It will be a tense afternoon but Hull can come away with a win if they show the same commitment and tenacity as last week.
