16 April 2016 – National Three North : Hull 29-23 Lymm

Hull won this game in the final ten minutes to finally edge out a lively Lymm side 29-23 at the Ferens Ground. Hull scored first inside six minutes when Joe Martin bulldozed his way over for a try which Josh Bragman converted. Lymm turned the tables with a try on 34 minutes which was followed by a penalty on the stroke of half time for a one point lead. The second half started with an early try for Ali Heard again converted by Bragman after 43 minutes before Lymm replied with a penalty nine minutes later. Five minutes later a driving maul ended with Ben Sullivan going over and Bragman adding his third conversion for a 21-11 lead but two quick tries for the visitors, one converted, saw the visitors take the lead at 23-21. Hull raised their game and a long range penalty goal was kicked over by Bragman to restore Hull’s lead with ten minutes remaining and the home side wrapped up the win when Jamie Thraves rounded off a period of pressure with three minutes left to score an unconverted try for 29-23.

16 April 2011 – National Division Two North : Hull 38-21 Preston Grasshoppers

Hull maintained their good end of season form with a 38-21 victory over Preston Grasshoppers at the Ferens Ground. Matt White scored after just three minutes with Greg Lound adding the conversion. On ten minutes Alex Campbell then went over in his first game of the season with Lound again adding the conversion. Preston responded with a converted try of their own on 17 minutes but Matt White scored again after 24 minutes and Lound added his third conversion. Hull got their bonus point four minutes before the break when James Greene snatched a loose ball in his own 22 and raced to the corner for an unconverted try and a 26-7 half time lead. Max Lewis continued the scoring after 55 minutes crashing over from close range with Guy Martinson adding the conversion for 33-7. Preston scored two quickfire converted tries in the last fifteen minutes but Maea David ended the contest when he finished off a close lineout for an unconverted try and a 38-21 win.
