Hull RUFC’s preparation for the new season continue this week when they travel to Scunthorpe on Thursday night.
Buoyed by their 31-14 win at Macclesfield last weekend, plans for the new season are coming on very well.
Sam Crane, one of the new additions to the squad, believes the display at Macclesfield is a sign of how well the squad is developing.
“Our hard work these past couple of months was represented in the great win at Macclesfield last weekend,” said the scrum-half.
“It shows plenty of promise for the season ahead.
“It was great to get over the line myself off the back of some big defensive efforts from the boys in the late stages.
“I’m excited for the season and seeing us grow from strength to strength.”
The former Ionians scrum-half admits settling into the squad has been made very easy by the rest of the team.
“I’ve settled in great with the lads,”he said.
“We’re coming off the back of a good pre season.“I’m feeling more and more comfortable.”
