Hull RUFC warmed up for their Yorkshire Cup semi-final with a resounding 59-15 win over Doncaster Phoenix.
This was Hull’s second game in three days, but it didn’t show as they blew their opponents away with a devastating performance.
The damage was done in the first half with four tries and the bonus point secured within half an hour.
Harvey Harding helped himself to a hat-trick while Lee Birch made it seven tries in three games. Tomasi Tanumi scored twice while skipper Tom Rice continued his scoring sequence with his second try in two games and Liam Regardsoe added another. Hull were also awarded a penalty try which was one of seven conversions by Tyler Price from his nine attempts.
The win secured third spot for Gary Pearce’s side and set them up nicely for next Saturday’s Yorkshire Cup semi-final trip to Harrogate.
