Hull’s hat-trick hero Harvey Harding paid tribute to the hard work of his pack of forwards for providing him with his first ever treble.
Harding scored three of his side’s nine tries in a dominating 59-15 win over Doncaster Phoenix to secure third spot in National Three North.
Harding, playing with six stitches in his lower lip after an incident in last weekend’s win over Sandal, said it’s a joy to play in this Hull team.
“That might be my first ever hat-trick in my career so I’m pretty pleased with that,” Harding said.
“The third one was gifted after big Kieran McDonald got caught in the tackle but managed to offload the ball to me.
“It was good go forward by the forwards as they opened the gaps for us backs which makes things a lot easier.
“I’m pleased to score a hat-trick but it was a great performance form the boys.
“It’s a good team to play in because it’s a positive team and we want to build on that and keep going forward.
“It was nice to chuck the ball around in such good weather.
“I want to play every game especially at the minute when it’s exciting times.
“Everything is positive from the training to the games.”
