Tyler Price hopes to put his knowledge of the Bishop Burton pitch to good use when Hull take on Wharfedale for a place in the Yorkshire Cup semi-final.
The fly-half is in the third year of his BSc Sports Coaching degree at the college and is well used to playing on the pitch tomorrow night’s tie will be played on.
Given its location on the outskirts of Bishop Burton, Price knows there is a knack of making the most of the conditions and he plans to use these to guide Hull into the semi-finals.
“Playing on the Bishop Burton pitch for three years I know first hand that anything can happen,” Price said.
“On that pitch with the wind and slope its unpredictable.
“I’m expecting a tough, physical game.
“With them not long coming down from National League One, they’re going to have some quality in their side.
“We’re just going to have to step our game up a level because we have the potential to beat them.”
