Hull RUFC director of rugby Mike Umaga has urged his players to enjoy their off-season, but to be responsible. Next season, Hull RUFC will return to National 2 North and Umaga wants his squad of players to return to pre-season training in decent shape. The better shape the players will be, the easier pre-season training will be. The more out-of-shape they are, the tougher it will be to get into shape in time for the start of the season. Before the season opener, Hull RUFC will hope to play two, maybe three pre-season friendlies, with the last coming at Darlington Mowden Park on Friday, 25 August.
“Invest in yourself,” Umaga has told his players.
“If you come back out of shape, you have no comeback.
“Some of the players enjoy that self-care responsibility.
“The season might have ended, but the work doesn’t stop.
“Fitness is key, all the time, otherwise its a waste of time.
“We’ll have two, maybe three pre-season friendlies.
“We will finish with Darlington Mowden Park.
“Before that we might play a local team and we’ll try and fit another one in.”
It’s been confirmed that Hull RUFC will face the following teams in National 2 North next season:
