Assistant coach Martin Webdale has urged his players to be more ruthless against Sandal when the two sides meet later today.
Hull were guilty of not making the most of the chances they created at Rossendale last weekend that effectively ended their hopes of winning promotion back to National Two North following a 21-13 loss.
Hull end their league campaign with three straight home games at Chanterlands Avenue, starting with Sandal today.
Webdale wants his players to go into their off-season with some momentum and third placed secured.
Sandal, currently fourth – four points behind Hull, can climb above Hull with a five point win while denying the home side a bonus point.
“It’s vital that we get back on the horse,” Webdale said.
“We want to build some momentum in these last three games.
“If we can do that, it will put the squad in a good place going into the off season.
“Hopefully we learned the lessons from last week.
“We need to be more clinical when we have chances to score.”
