Hull travel across the Pennines to face Rossendale in a game where Hull are already relegated but with the home side having a chance with a chance to avoid relegation altogether by winning this game .If Otley and Scunthorpe were to lose and Rossendale win then they would finish fourth from the foot of the table and be safe for the campaign next season in Division 2. Hull can spoil the party by achieving a victory despite losing last week in a fixture they looked capable of winning.
Hull have played some good rugby especially since Christmas but their fate was sealed last weekend when they fell away in the last ten minutes of the game against Sheffield Tigers.
They travel this week with the pack bolstered by the return to the starting line up of lock forward Liam Regardsoe who teams up with Alec Renouf in the second row. The rest of the pack is similar to last weeks with Charlie Beech and Oliver Fretwell on the bench as very able front row cover. The backs see a new centre pairing of David Halaifonua and Harry Dawkins with a back three of Jamie Shaul, Tom Lineham and James Farrar . The half backs remain as last week with a pairing of Harry Pinder and Harry Gunn- Mclean.
Hull will look to get a win and their pack is capable of laying a foundation for a good performance if they can make sure of their own first phase ball. However against a side playing for their own league status Hull will need their A game to come away with the points.
