Mike Delighted To Bring Experienced Duo In

Mike Umaga is delighted to announce two new signings for the forthcoming season in National 2 North.
David Halaifonua and Matiu Welch have decided to join the club ahead of what promises to be a very exciting season for the club.
The pair bring a wealth of experience to the team and Mike is looking forward to working with the pair.

“David joins us after a spell playing his rugby in Europe for Frankfurt,” Umaga said.
“Prior to this, he played for Gloucester in the Premiership as well as having spells in the Championship with Coventry and London Scottish.
“David is also a Tongan international and was part of his country’s last two World Cup campaigns. 
“He joins our group with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
“We’re looking forward to David joining our squad and the club.
“Kiwi born fly-half Matiu Welch joins us from seaside club Bridlington, where he has been playing his rugby on and off for the last five seasons. 
“Matiu is excited about the challenge of playing at National 2.
“But I feel he has all the credentials to make the transition seamlessly. 
“He has good knowledge of the game, a skillset to match and is adept at scrum-half as well, which is an added bonus.”
