There can be no doubt it has been a tough season for Hull. Equally there can be no doubt the players have sought to play their best against opposition that has had the benefit in most cases of being able to call upon squad players of Championship and Premiership sides.
At this stage of the season Hull need to play their own game and be able to express themselves and enjoy the ability they have to score tries, sometimes in spectacular fashion.
This week, Will Hall returns to his back row position and with Edwards and Adlard on the wings and Trueman at full back, the side is better equipped than last week when injuries depleted them.
The pack includes the promising second rower Kim Russell who partners the highly experienced Cam Curry and the bench is full of promise with some excellent young prospects given the chance to feature at this level.
With two sets of sponsors supporting this week’s game, there will be lots of home support to help Hull give a good account of themselves against a workmanlike Sale side who have proved a tough nut to crack for most sides in this league.
There is no doubt if Hull retain the ball they will score tries and that will be a very good objective to start with and to build on.
