Saturday’s 41-12 defeat to Plymouth at Chants Ave was sadly marred by the injury to winger Keane Naylor. Naylor fell to the ground in agony after taking a long cut-out pass from Reece Dean and in an attempt to accelerate to the try line.
After a lengthy stoppage in play, Naylor was taken from the pitch and transported to hospital where it was confirmed he has suffered a ruptured Achilles in his left leg.
Sadly for the winger, his season is over, and as he prepared to start on his road to recovery, he sent this message to his colleagues: “Thanks for everyone that looked after me. See you all as soon as I can.”
Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later.
