Hull host Birmingham Moseley on Saturday hoping to start the game as well as they have finished their last two following the break for Christmas. While matches against Rams and Rosslyn Park ended in defeat by five and 10 points, there was plenty of positives for the new management team of Mike Umaga and Tony Penn to take from both encounters. Tomasi Tanumi admits that since the league restarted in January, there is a new belief within the squad which gives them confidence ahead of their next game.
“Our last two performances against the second-placed Rams and fourth-placed Rosslyn Park has given some new belief in the squad,” Tanumi said.
“Although they were both loses on the scoreboard, Mike was very clear on us finding smalls wins in both performances.
“Mike and Tony have given the players belief in themselves and the team with some very clear and simple messaging and back to basics.
“Looking at Saturday’s game, we’ve just got to start like we’ve been finishing in the last two games.
“Training has gone well this week considering the weather, but the boys will sure be confident heading into this game.”
