Hull RUFC are very sad to have to announce the death of Peter Richards who passed away on Sunday October 16th following a brief illness.
Peter was a regular attender at our home games and he was a past-president of the Yorkshire County RFU. When his playing days were over, he became a referee at the highest level of English rugby union.
His knowledge of rugby union was second to none and he will be greatly missed by everyone at Hull RUFC.
Peter’s funeral will be held at Saint Augustine’s Church, Hedon, on Monday November 14th at 11:30am. This will be followed by a funeral reception at the Hull RUFC clubhouse on Chants Ave at 1pm where all will be welcome.
