Latu feels lucky to be playing for Hull

Latu Makaafi feels he is blessed to be playing for Hull this season.
Makaafi joined the side in the off-season and has helped Hull win four games in a row including Saturday’s 12-9 home win over Wharfedale, his old team.
Makaafi admits settling in to life by the Humber Bridge has been easy with the help of the people behind the scenes.
“Saturday was a great win,” Makaafi said.
“And it was great to beat my old team.
“Going forward we need to keep the momentum going.
“We are starting to work together really well as a team and I am very luck to be in this squad because it’s a great bunch of boys and great coach as well.
”And Jeremy (Saunt, President) isn’t bad either!
”If we finish to year with five successive wins, that will be a great Xmas present.
”Jeremy and Gary (Pearce, director of rugby) make everything a very easy decision for me to come back.
“And I know Jeremy is a great guy and I believe this club is family club as we see it now.
“I know Gary from Doncaster Knights and sometimes he is a bit too loud from touch line but he just want the best for you.
“For me I think this team we still got a lots to deliver and to show and we deserve to win games.
“This squad is a lot of great experienced players and great young players.
And that is down to Gary.”
