Last Saturday Hull ended their home league programme with a resounding 52-8 victory over Kirkby Lonsdale scoring eight tries in the process.
The visitors had a very good first 20 minutes and were leading 8-7 before Hull hit a purple patch to post the winning bonus point and gaining a 26-8 half time advantage.
A similar thing happened in the second half with Hull still leading by the same score until the 61st minute, but they then had another spell where they scored another four tries.
Scorers for Hull were man of the match Joe Stafford (2), Tomasi Tanumi (2), Mike Adlard, Ali Heard, Harvey Harding and Liam Fitts and Steve Johnson landed 6 conversions.
Elsewhere in the division, there were the usual end of season strange results beginning with Preston Grasshoppers losing only their second game of the season by 31-27 away to Billingham.
Relegated Birkenhead Park beat visitors Kendal by 24-21 to post only their fourth win of the season and also relegated Pocklington recorded their second win of the season with a five-point success at Sandal by 31-20.
Ilkley travelled to Lymm and gave an outstanding display to beat the fourth placed side by 42-12 also securing maximum points by scoring six tries.
Relegated Morley entertained third placed Harrogate who posted a four-try victory by 24-0 to cement their third place in the table.
Finally, the Wirral v Rossendale fixture ended with a 31-26 win for Ross in what must have been a pretty tight game.
Hull’s win confirms them as runners-up in the division and they will play either Peterborough Lions or Newport (Salop) from the Midlands division.
Hull and Peterborough both have one game remaining while Newport have two. Hull must either win, or at least draw, at Rossendale next Saturday to ensure that the play-off will be at the Ferens Ground. If not, they will have to travel.
With all the promotion, play-off and relegation issues now settled there just remains one more league weekend, one catch-up weekend and the Harrogate v Pocklington game which Pocklington cancelled on Easter Saturday still awaiting review by the RFU.
