Hull have the biggest weekends of the season coming up when they play two important games in three days.
Firstly, they take on Wirral who sit mid-table and look secure from any relegations trouble. Their early season form saw them moving in the right direction but recent games have seen them on a long losing streak but a win against Lymm indicates that they can raise their game on occasions.
Hull hope to have much the same side available that put 60 points past Birkenhead last week. Back row man Rupert Kay may come back into the reckoning if his hand injury has recovered.
The front row will be reinforced by the return of Mike Dias after his work commitments. The subs bench will be an important factor and Hull are lucky to have a player in Tomasi Tanumi who can cover every position in the backs and half backs.
Gary Pearce will be looking to select the best possible forward replacements and this may be done at the last minute as the options will need to be considered in full.
The pitch and weather may play a part but with Hull having scored 10 tries last week they will be looking to take the game to the opposition and have the ability to score from anywhere on the field in any conditions.
Hull will be hoping for a maximum points haul that would keep a healthy gap between Hull and Harrogate who sit third in the table.
