Gary Pearce aims to deliver the Yorkshire Cup in the club’s 25th Anniversary season.
First up for Hull is a trip to Huddersfield YMCA this afternoon in what Pearce hopes will be the first game on the road to County success.
Pearce intends to use the first game to rotate his squad and give players who haven’t featured as much as he would have liked, a chance to impress.
“We’d like to win the Yorkshire Cup this season,” Pearce said.
“We got to the semi-finals last season and in our 25th season, we’d like to go one better.”
“We have picked a strong squad and we are going there to win.
“We’ve had a tough start to our league campaign with four games against teams we think will be challenging at the top of the table come the end of the season.
“This is a chance for some players to come in and show us what they can.
“They need an opportunity and in a way this is a less pressurised situation.
“We have a few players with knocks who will be rested and we will rotate the squad as best we can.
“After beating Morley 47-0 last weekend, we want to keep the momentum we have built up.”
