Hull RUFC vs Darlington Mowden Park RUFC : Match Preview

Darlington who sit fifth in the table travel south to take on a Hull side that despite playing some of its best rugby of the season have slipped into the automatic relegation places. Hull’s Achilles heel has been an adverse penalty count in most games and a high yellow card record which has made it very difficult to keep momentum flowing their way. Playing ten or sometimes twenty minutes with just fourteen players players hands a  significant advantage to the opposition and has been a feature of too many games this season.

Hull’s last two games has seen them match opponents much higher up the league in terms of ability and creativity and a continuation of that form must surely bring rewards in terms of victories in the last few weeks of the season if good discipline is maintained .

On Saturday Hull will be without Mike Jobling at prop but see the welcome return of Charlie Beech to the front row.  The rest of the side is much the same as last week  but sees harry Gunn -Mclean make a welcome return after injury to the mech where he can cover most od the back positions with Harry Pinder  along side him as cover for the halfback berths.

Hull came within a whisker of defeating Darlington in the away fixture earlier  in the season and can go one better this time out if they can continue playing their attractive brand of open rugby  keep fifteen players on the field for eighty minutes
