6 February 2016 – National Three North : Lymm 24-25 Hull

Hull edged out hosts Lymm thanks to Josh Bragman’s magnificent 50 yard penalty in the 76th minute which completed a second half comeback for the visitors. Lymm took the lead after five minutes with a penalty and followed it up with a converted try after eighteen minutes. Hull replied with a catch and drive try from Danny Hague, converted by Lee Birch. As half time approached Lymm took advantage of a Hull penalty and went into the break 13-7 ahead. The start of the second half saw Lymm extend their lead with another penalty before Hull applied huge pressure to the Lymm line and following a series of penalties and a yellow card for the Lymm No.6 finally scored when Joe Stafford strolled over the line for an unconverted try. Hull scored again when Josh Bragman’s deft chip saw Tomasi Tanumi win the race for a fine try which Bragman converted to put Hull 19-16 ahead. The lead then changed hands several times as Lymm scored an unconverted try to lead 21-19 before a Bragman penalty back in the lead at 22-21. The Lymm kick off resulted in a home penalty in the 72nd minute and a 24-22 lead but with four minutes remaining Bragman kicked a huge penalty that gave Hull the deserved win.
