Hull RUFC vs Macclesfield RUFC : Match Preview

Second placed Macclesfield have had a good season losing just twice to the leauge leaders and remaining unbeaten Sheffield and to Fylde who Hull beat a couple of weeks ago.

Hull have made changes to the side that lost to Billingham away last week with some players returning to the fold .The pack sees Jack Bergmanas start at hooker and Harvey Harding returns to the  back row with Liam Regardsoe starting in the second row after coming on from the bench last week after a long injury enforced lay off allowing Alec Renouf to return to his favoured position in the back row .

The backs see Ali Heard back at centre where he will team up with Tom Minns with Jack Render and Tom Lineham on the wings with Jamie Shaul starting at full back. Joe Adams and Reece Dean complete the back line as the experienced half back pairing.

The return of prop Charlie Beech adds to a strong bench along with hooker Oliver Fretwell and back rower Josh Ratuvou  giving  good cover for the pack with scrum half Harry Pinder and winger cum full back Harry Dawkins completing a well balanced line up.

Hull face a very confident Macclesfield outfit who like nothing more than to run the ball but Hull have shown that they can score tries at regular intervals as well. The ability of Hull to keep in the game will be helped by keeping a full side on the pitch for eighty minutes and working hard on lowering the adverse penalty count. Hull’s set piece work has been solid this season and if the team gels from the first minute they can come home with some points as Macclesfield are not unbeatable.
