Hull RUFC vs Billingham RUFC : Match Preview

Hull will travel to  Billingham  knowing that a win will take them a step nearer to safety . Their opponents will have the advantage of playing on their all weather pitch but it is worth noting that Hull staged a great comeback on a similar surface at Preston just a fortnight ago. Billingham have had some close results recently going down by a point at Wharfedale and then  giving promotion seeking Darlington a scare before losing by a two score margin.

Hull have had to make some further changes this week but are able to welcome back second  row forward Liam Regardsoe who comes into the squad and will start on the bench.

The incredibly versatile David Halafoinua starts his fiftieth game for the club in the second row . He has played in almost every position on the field apart from in the front row and relishes the physical challenge . Ali Heard moves from centre to the back row but the rest of the pack sees the players from last week in place.

The backs see Reece Dean at off half teaming up with scrum half Joe Adams with Harry Gunn Mclean moving to full back with the pacy Jake Boardman coming in on the wing alongside Tom Lineham & Jack Render partnering Tim Minns in the centres.

The subs bench sees Dale Ellerby , Harry Pinder,  Jack Bergmanas and the returning Jamie Shaul complete the line up.

Hull will need to reproduce the never say die spirit of their last two outings if they are to overcome a Billingham side who will be only too well aware of the importance of this fixture.

It will probably be a close run thing but Hull have nothing to lose and have the ability to take that important step up the table.
