Club Historian Stephen Hodgson takes us on a trip down memory lane every week of the season. With rugby cancelled 5 years ago due to the coronavirus pandemic, Stephen has delved further into the club records to pick out games played on this week 10, 15 and 20 years ago. It continues to be a popular read with former and current players. Do you feature this week?
21 November 2015 – National Three North : Huddersfield YMCA 27-10 Hull
Hull had an off day in West Yorkshire as they struggled to contain a lively home side in a 27-10 defeat. Hull scored first when Will Harrison raced over under the posts after 8 minutes giving Josh Bragman the easiest of conversions for a 7-0 lead. Huddersfield replied immediately within a minute with a converted try to level the scores. The home side pushed further ahead with a 19th minute penalty and another converted try on 28 minutes to lead 17-7. Another penalty for the hosts resulted in a 20-7 half time advantage. The second half saw Hull take the battle to Huddersfield but they were unable to capitalise on their possession and only had a Josh Bragman penalty before Huddersfield wrapped the game up in in the 70th minute with a converted try to win the game 27-10.

Chances came and went for Hull until just after the hour mark winger Danny Smith scored with Tangahau again adding the conversion. Eight minutes later he set up substitute Matt White for a try before adding his fourth conversion for a 28-3 advantage.
