Hull RUFC vs Wharfedale: Match Preview

Hull entertain Wharfedale this weekend and will take on a side that has recovered after a faltering start to see some return to form having now won three games agaisnt Otley, Sheffield Tigers and Rossendale. Their most  recent  game against Fylde was a close run affair which resulted in them losing by a small margin and they will be looking to add to their winning tally on Saturday .

Hull showed attacking promise last weekend at Tynedale but some defensive errors and an occasional loose pass proved very expensive against a side brimming with confidence. Nevertheless  Hull can build on the good things they did in that game and welcome back a number of players which will strengthen the squad .

The backs see the return of Jamie Shaul at fullback  as Harry Dawkins moves back to his more accustomed position on the  wing. Joe Adams coming in for the injured Harry Pinder at scrum half .

the pack sees Danny ward and Evi Uriburu-Grey in the second row  with the versatile Mike Jobling moving to blind side flanker with Alec Renouf at openside and Noah Marshall at number eight  . The bench sees the welcome return of Paulos Latu and David Halafoinua  who join forwards Oliver Fretwell and Dale Ellerby and Harry Gunn-McLean who had such a good game last week at off half .

The strength of the bench gives coach Declan Cusack some very good options and those impact players could play a crucial part in the latter stages of the game. A stronger line up and home advantage mean Hull could add to the wins column on Saturday if they can keep control of the ball and take all their scoring opportunities .
