This Saturday is crunch time for four sides in National 2 North as Harrogate, Billingham, Preston and Hull fight it out to see which one of those teams will finish a long hard season by being relegated.
The permutations are endless with the bonus points that can be accrued having a key influence on the outcome. Hull have had a very tough season for injuries but should have all but one of the side that defeated Tynedale available.
Hull’s pack have functioned well in their last two matches laying the foundations for two vital victories. Recent man of the match winner second/back row Evi Uriburu Gray is unavailable, but Liam Regardsoe and Bill Addy can form a formidable second row partnership.
The front row has been solid all season and the back row of Adam Brankley, Paulos Latu and Jack Baldry had a great part to play in the key victory against Tynedale.
In the backs, Hull’s pacy back three came up with three tries between them last time out and with a solid centre pairing of Duell Trueman and David Halafoinua the back line will ask questions of Otley. Half-backs Harvey Harding and Harrison Astley have combined well and will need to repeat their recent excellent form to help Hull to safety.
Otley will pose a real test and whilst a loss to Harrogate cannot be ignored nor can their tremendous victories against Lymm, Fylde and Hull Ionians.
A tense and exciting afternoon is in prospect and Hull should be able to garner at least the two points needed for guaranteed National 2 North rugby next season.
