Hull RUFC Vs Tynedale – Match Preview

With two games left for Hull to secure their National 2 North status, they will be looking to build on their success last week when they got the better of an in form Harrogate side to give themselves a lifeline.

Tynedale have improved dramatically from the side that only won its first game on November 9th and now sit in fourth place just above Wharfedale who Hull have beaten twice.

Injuries means some reorganisation in the back division with David Halafoinua and Duell Trueman, a potential centre partnership, which could  see a pairing of two very experienced defensively sound players with good distribution skills.

The back three could see the exciting full back Fynlay Hobson linking up with Jake Boardman and Harry Dawkins giving a pacy trio when openings occur in attack.

The pack has worked hard all season and none has done more to get the side going forward than second-row man Liam Regardsoe. His power as a ball carrier has been consistent all season making those precious hard yards.

He is an integral part of Hull’s front five who can lay the platform to see the side garner much needed points.

Hull’s back row had an outstanding game at Harrogate and a repeat performance would be more than welcome.

It will be a tough ask but Hull have their mind set on doing everything they can to ease out of the trouble zone and with home advantage they can get there in what promises to be a very close game.
