Hull welcome Sheffield Tigers to their Chanterlands Avenue ground this weekend as they seek to get back to winning ways. Sheffield sit four places above Hull with seven wins and a draw so far this season, but have the benefit of more bonus points than the home side.
Sheffield’s recent victories against Harrogate and Otley suggest they are in reasonable form, whilst Hull have to look back to their convincing victory over Preston Grasshoppers in February for their last win.
Hull’s pack have performed well at the set piece throughout the season, but have had to play without several experienced players recently which has made life difficult. The back division has been especially hard hit which has unbalanced the side as new combinations have had to be tried.
The side which played last week all came through unscathed and it is hoped they will be rejoined this week by experienced and versatile backs Duell Trueman and Peter Hudson-Kowalewicz.
Last week, against fourth placed Fylde, saw Hull secure good first phase possession and territory, but they were unable to convert this into points. With a strengthened back division and the right tactical plan, Hull will look to put that right and end the recent run of adverse results.
