18 January 2020 – National Two North: Hull 27-16 Chester
Hull’s props laid the foundation for victory with some fine scrummaging which resulted in two penalty tries as they beat Chester in an entertaining game. The visitors put together some good early phases of play and when Hull strayed offside they took advantage with a penalty kick. Hull responded with a Simon Humberstone penalty but Chester kept pressing and scored an unconverted try on seventeen minutes. Again Hull responded with a Humberstone penalty but another infringement gave Chester another penalty and a 11-6 half time lead.
Early in the second half Chester had to defend a number of scrums near their own line but conceded a penalty try and had a man yellow carded as Hull took the lead on fifty three minutes. Chester regrouped and regained the lead following good use of a lineout catch and drive to score an unconverted try. Hull repeated their scrum domination near the Chester line which resulted in a second penalty try after seventy one minutes and wrapped up the win late on with a Tom O’Donnell try under the posts converted by Humberstone to make the final score 27-16.

17 January 2015 – National Two North: Hull 27-0 Luctonians
Coach Gary Pearce was delighted with his side’s performance in a comprehensive home win over Luctonians at the Ferens Ground. Hull made the perfect start when back row forward Eggleshaw made 30 yards and when the ball was recycled off-half Greg Lound went through a gap to score under the posts and convert his own try after only three minutes. A concerted period of pressure from the visitors was sustained by resolute defence and as half time approached Lound increased Hull’s lead with a penalty goal for 10-0 at the break.
The second half saw Hull dominate for long periods but it took until the sixty ninth minute before Aiden Holland touched down 15 yards in from touch for an unconverted try. Hull were now full of self belief and a cross field kick by Lound was picked up by Jamie Clark and finished by Stephen Hihetah who scored near the corner flag for another unconverted try. With a minute remaining Holland picked up a loose ball and outpaced a tired defence to score under the posts. Lound kicked the conversion to finish the scoring.
