Hall Explains His Decision To Step Away From The Game

One player watching the 37-36 win over Hull Ionians at Brantingham Park was Will Hall. While this would have been a game he would have loved to have featured in, the back row forward made the difficult decision to take a step back from rugby for the time being. Hall has been a stalwart of the first team over the last few seasons scoring 22 tries in 123 appearances. After playing in the home win over Harrogate in December, Will explains his thought process behind his decision.

“After a lot of thought over a period of time, I have decided to take a step back from rugby for the time being at least,” Hall said.
“It’s never an easy decision but when you have other priorities and not enjoying it as much, some things have to be put to a side.
“I will certainly miss the craic with the lads after the game, but I’ll be down when I can with a Guinness in hand.
“Winning the league and getting to National one will always be the stand out during my time at the club.
“They are an absolutely brilliant set of lads and fantastic team!
“Never say never but it’s certainly been a good decision so far with everything else going on!
“I would like to thank absolutely everyone involved with the club, over the last six years and 123 games I have played, it has been an absolute pleasure.
“I have met some unbelievable people and made friendships for life.”
