Having had the fixture cancelled last week, Hull travel to Sheffield this Saturday in this rearranged fixture to take on Sheffield Tigers who sit second bottom club but only four points behind Hull.
Sheffield Tigers have accumulated quite a few bonus points due to many close defeats and some try scoring ability on their part. Complacency will be the last thing on Hull’s mind as a big enough Sheffield Tigers win could see them leapfrog Hull in the league positions.
A win against bottom club Harrogate and a draw against Otley maybe the Tigers only successes but narrow losses to Fylde and league leaders Lymm will have Hull every bit as focused as they were last in their last game against high flying Fylde.
Mike Adlard is away this week, but Keane Naylor is fit to return to take a place in the squad but there is plenty of competition for places in the back division.
Hull’s pack have been in good form at scrum time, and despite some lineout issues in their last game against Fylde, Hull stole three of Fylde’s to redress the balance .
There are still areas to work on in Hull’s game if they are to record a second successive victory against an improving Sheffield Tigers who will be going all out to win and ease up the table.
Hull were in good form against Fylde where starting XV did very well and the sub’s bench had a considerable impact so a lot of thought will go into the selection of the twenty players who will take on Sheffield Tigers.
