Hull upset the form book and ended an eight game winless streak in style with a tremendous win to inflict league leaders Fylde’s first home defeat of the season. Mike Adlard touched down within the opening five minutes to open the scoring for Hull before Fylde replied with a penalty. Two further converted tries to the hosts saw the gap open up to 17-5 but Hull struck back with a Steve McColl try, converted by Reece Dean, to reduce the score to 17-12 after 23 minutes. Just before half time a Fylde penalty goal stretched their lead to 20-12.
