Bureta: An Ugly Win Is Still A Win

Weather permitting, Hull RUFC travel to Sheffield on Saturday to face a Tiger team sitting 13th in National 2 North. The journey to the Steel City depends on if the cold front continues, and if the game goes ahead, Mike Umaga’s side will be looking to win back-to-back games. Inside centre Bureta Faraimo said last week’s 23-21 win over Fylde was crucial for the team to move four points ahead of this weekend’s opponents. It might not have been the prettiest of win, which saw the former Hull FC star score a try, but Faraimo isn’t bothered about that.

”An ugly win is still a win,” Faraimo said.
”It was beautiful to get the win last week after the previous couple of weeks.
“The win was down to everything we had been doing in training.
“It’s good for the coaches to see tough wins like that, because of the things we’ve been working on.
“We applied that to our game.
“Now we have some momentum and we can take that into the next game.
“This win can give us self belief as well.
“Having said that, we still have a lot of things to work on.
“It was very important to get this win before going to Sheffield Tigers.”
