Jamie On Reaching 50 Appearances For The Club

Jamie Major was given the honour of leading the team out on Saturday ahead of the 24-18 defeat to Lymm at Chants Ave. It was his 50th appearance for the club since making his debut at Bournville in the season the club won promotion to National One. Major has scored six tries in his time with the first team, which is a pretty good strike rate for a prop. So how did it feel to lead the side out on his milestone appearance?

“It was a very proud feeling to lead everyone out,” Major said.
“Especially with how long I’ve known some of the lads.
“I was actually very surprised how quickly my 50th appearance has come about.
“Time really does fly why you’re having fun.
“My first game for the club was away at bournville the year the club won promotion.
“I think I got about 25 minutes off the bench and I was pretty pleased with how it went.
“The game that stands out the most for me over my time at the club would probably be the Christmas game against Ionians last year.
“We were in a bit of a dip in form having lost a few games on the bounce and to go and win before Christmas in the the last play of the game was exciting stuff.”
