Hull RUFC vs Lymm – Richard Gore’s Preview

Hull take on the Manchester area side Lymm this Saturday. Lymm can boast a 100% win record so far this season and sit proudly at the top of the league. They have had some close games notably against Tynedale and Sheffield Tigers when on their travels, with both games only won by the odd point.

Lymm’s all-weather pitch seems to have helped them to some big margin home wins but the fact that they have such a good record speaks for itself.

Hull will be looking to get back to winning ways after a couple of weeks of frustrating performances where they have looked the better side for much of the games against Sheffield RUFC and Preston, but emerged the losing team.

Translating their undoubted ability into winning scores is something the players and coaches work on every week and a game against table-topping Lymm gives Hull a stern test, but one they will be relishing.

Hull will welcome back centre/winger Peter Hudson-Kowalewicz and prop Charlie Beech into the squad and will most likely start with a similar side to that which took the field last week.

If that is the case, Hull will have a strong bench to call on with forwards Mosese Nasilasila, Jack Baldry and Beech with backs Sam Crane and the highly-experienced David Halafoinua completing the squad.

Hull can make a big impact on this game but will need to start with maximum concentration and maintain it for eighty minutes if they are to topple the current league leaders.
