Hull finally got their first home win of the season with a 44-15 victory over Caldy. An early penalty for the visitors was soon cancelled out by a try from debutant Aiden Holland after five minutes. Caldy responded with a converted try before Lound slotted over a penalty to give Hull a 20-10 half time lead. The restart saw Hull rampant as Sullivan raced 40 yards before putting hooker Matthews in for his first of three second half tries, Lound adding the conversion. Caldyendeavoured to get back into the game with an unconverted try but from a powerful catch and drive Matthews drove over the line for his second try, converted by Jamie Kirk.
