After four games of playing in National 2 North, Ant McCormack is loving it. The second row forward has featured in all four games so far this season and helped the club register their first win of the season last weekend in a 40-26 victory at home to Billingham. The Bishop Burton student has adapted well to playing at the higher standard and hopes to help get a second win at Wharfedale on Saturday.
“It felt really good to get our first win of the season,” McCormack said.
“We were a bit unlucky the previous two weeks, but we really brought it against Billingham.
“I think it’s great playing at this standard.
“My body is getting used to the hits now and while it’s tough, it’s physical.
“The physicality is the one thing that stands out the most for me.
“I think I’ve fitted in well.
“I’ve heard Wharfedale is a tough place to go, but with a win under our belt, we have a lot of confidence going there.
“If we play like we know we can, we’ll do a good job.”
