Leeds started the game at great pace establishing a 28-0 lead after just 20 minutes. Indiscipline and Hull’s introduction of Charlie Beech at prop saw Hull steady the ship and get some points on the board later in the first half.
After just three minutes Leeds surged into the lead when good handling and sheer pace saw centre Tom Williams race away for a try converted by off-half James Watts. Two minutes later Leeds pace again opened up the Hull defence with winger McGee getting the touchdown.
After 18 minutes, Leeds had scored two more tries through winger McNab as Hull struggled to come to terms with a free-flowing home side. Watts converted all the tries the home side were 28-0 up.
Hull then had a better spell and after Charlie Beech came on at prop and penalties accrued to Hull with Reece Dean kicking two of them to get Hull’s score going. Leeds had two players sin binned as they found the scrum becoming difficult to handle.
The halftime score of 28-6 was a fair reflection of the game, but Hull would play the second period with the slope and breeze.
A third Dean penalty at the start of the second half was negated by a further Leeds try as soon as they returned to 15 men with winger McGee going in for a try converted by Watt after 48 minutes.
Hull responded after 62 minutes when Keane Naylor made a timely interception putting centre Ali Heard in for a try converted by Fynlay Hobson who had taken up full back duties after Harry Dawkins had come on in the backs.
Leeds were still not done and two tries in the 66th and 70th minute converted by Watt and Smith respectively saw the home side comfortable victors 49-16.
