7 September 2019 – National Two North – Huddersfield 22-22 Hull
Hull drew 22-22 with Huddersfield in our first game back in National Two North. However it was a sense of disappointment at the final whistle after taking a seven point lead with Simon Humberstone’s 80th minute penalty. Ten minutes of added time saw Hull lose two men to the sin bin before a late, late converted try from Huddersfield levelled the scores.
Humberstone’s penalty gave Hull a third minute lead, but Huddersfield responded with a penalty and an unconverted try to lead 8-3 at the break. The second half saw Hull score two unconverted tries from Latu Makaafi and Keane Naylor and two well taken Humberstone penalties put Hull in charge leading 22-15. But Huddersfield took advantage as Paul Hamber and Will Hall were yellow carded and drew level at the final whistle with a converted try.
