Liam Returns For Trip To Sheffield RUFC

This week’s penultimate fixture of Hull’s season sees them visit the home of third placed Sheffield in what on paper looks a very tough fixture. This, despite the form book being stood on its head when Sheffield lost heavily last week to second from bottom Hull Ionians. Sheffield are a formidable side when at full strength and Hull must prepare expecting to face a team anxious to end their season on a high note.

Hull welcome back into their squad lock forward  Liam Regardsoe who returns from suspension to link up with Bill Addy in the second row. Number 8  Paulos Latu is unlikely to play so Dan McDougall may start in the back row. Captain Ali Heard is injured so Bureta Faraimo looks set to partner Peter Hudson-Kowalewicz at centre. Two from Keane Naylor, Duell Trueman and Jamie Shaul will fill the wing berths with one moving to the subs bench.

The full-back position will see Reece Dean looking to continue his excellent form that has seen him goal kicking extremely well all season and an essential part of the side’s  39-36 victory last week against Fylde, adding 19 points to his season’s tally which currently stands at 248.

Hull’s bench sees the highly experienced prop Charlie Beech, second row Josh Papa and they could be joined by utility back Harry Dawkins and winger Charles Rawlins. The scrum-half position could see David Davison get the nod with Harvey Harding and James Naylor being unavailable.

Hull have an exciting line up despite a couple of changes to the side and they will be hoping to continue the good form that has seen them win five of their last seven games as they seek to claim another victory on the road.
