A Big Thank You

For those who attended Saturday’s home game with Rotherham Titans, you may have noticed a bucket collection. The collection was for Motor Neurone Disease Association and organised by Julie Brook on behalf of Peter Delaney.

Peter, a former rugby player and Rotarian from east Yorkshire, lost his wife Maureen to MND and is preparing for a gruelling fundraiser next month.

Peter will cycle from Land’s End in Cornwall on April 26 and cycle 1,189 miles up to John O’Groats by the end of May. To support Peter in his challenge, the Beverley Rotary Club are offering a ‘virtual sponsorship’ challenge called March on MND.

Saturday’s bucket collection raised a total of £350 and Julie would like to extent a massive thank you to everyone who donated to the collection.

You can still donate by emailing rcbmembers27@gmail.com (using MND in the subject) or you can call Peter on 07957 546824 or Jools on 07885 222816.
