For those who were wondering, Peter Hudson-Kowalewicz has been away on international duty with Poland the last three weeks. The centre is back in the squad for tomorrow’s home game with Wharfedale, which also sees Keane Naylor make his long-awaited return from an Achilles injury. Hudson-Kowalewicz brings us up to date with his last three weeks away with the Polish national team.
“We played three matches over the course of three weeks,” he said.
“First up was Romania, and we only losing by 12 points in a game we could have won.
“The second match was against Portugal who were a very good side!
“Finally, we faced Belgium which was a very tough game and they came out on top in that one.
“The travelling and the lessons learnt from training in the week and these games were amazing.
“Over all we stayed in Poland for a week and a half, Portugal for a week and Belgium for three days.”
