Hull RUFC vs Tynedale Preview

Hull take on a gritty Tynedale this weekend whose record is a little better than three wins against Huddersfield, Fylde and Hull Ionians and a draw against Sheffield might indicate. All their games have been close affairs with the biggest margin of defeat being a 33-19 loss to Rotherham.

Hull will need to be alive to the threat Tynedale pose with who have a strong pack and a desire to move the ball at every opportunity. Hull have plenty of firepower of their own and will go into this fixture looking to get more points in the bag in the run up to Christmas.

Newcomer Brandon Norman, who plays on the wing, could be involved and Peter Hudson-Kowalewicz returns to start in place of the unavailable centre Bureta Faraimo. David Davison will undergo a fitness test with the versatile Harrison Astley able to fill the scrum-half berth if necessary.

The pack will most likely remain the same starting line up as last week with Charlie Beech, Kym Russell, Jogi Logavatu and Alec Renouf giving solid cover from the bench.

Hull had a good start last week and a repeat of that performance, but sustained throughout the game, will make them difficult opponents. In what looks to be another close encounter Hull will need to take the scoring chances that they create to take the points against a hard working Tynedale side.
