While National 2 North has taken a two-week break, the action continues for Joey Barrett. The scrum-half is combining playing for Bishop Burton and Hull RUFC this season and he’s balancing the two very well. It comes down to looking after his body between playing two games a week on a Saturday and a Wednesday.
“I’m balancing playing for us and for Bishop Burton,” said Barrett.
“The body feels fine inbetween games on Saturday and Wednesday.
”It’s all about how I look after my body through the week.
”I’ve had a lot of game time and started a few and enjoyed setting the tone.
“I’ve really enjoyed the start to the season.
“We wanted to build some momentum and to be in the top third of the table.
“Going into the break with a win has given us confidence.
“We’ve worked on the areas we needed to work on and we want to come back better.
“There have been some good parts to our game in the first part of the season. I think we can be an exciting team to watch and to play in.
“But we are always looking to improve.”
