Hull RUFC return to Chants Ave for just their second home game of the season, looking to get back to winning ways. After a ruthless display in a 49-12 win at Huddersfield, the team were beaten at Leeds Tykes last weekend to deny them back-to-back wins. Captain Ali Heard knows the team let themselves down at Leeds last weekend and has urged his teammates to be more clinical at home to Sheffield Tigers this weekend.
“Last week was a very disappointing result after our performance the previous week at Huddersfield,” Heard said.
“Having only played at home once so far this season I’m really looking forward to playing back at home.
“I think in the first 20 minutes we tested Leeds in different areas.
“We just need to be more clinical and accurate so that when we create opportunities to put pressure on them, we execute.
“It’s very early in the season, but we know that we haven’t been getting the performances we know we are capable of doing.
“So we will look to work hard in the week to get ready for a tough challenge back on home turf.”
