At the end of the 2022/23 season, our club historian Norman Angell stood down from his role. Before he did, he handed the reigns over to our new club historian Stephen Hodgson. 22 September 2018 – Northern Premier Division: Hull 55 -12 Wilmslow
Hull won convincingly against a courageous Wilmslow side scoring over 50 points to ensure a maximum haul and their third win from four games at the start of the season. A first minute try from Mike Adlard converted by Simon Humberstone was followed in the sixth minute by No 8 Joe Stafford storming in for a try. Further tries from hooker Tom Rice, winger Lee Birch and centre Ali Heard saw Hull lead 29-12 at the break. In the second half the last twenty minutes saw Hull score four more tries through Mike Adlard, full back Steve Johnson, Joe Stafford and centre Joey Martin. Simon Humberstone finished the afternoon with five conversions to complete an excellent performance of attacking ability by the home side.

21 September 2013 – National Two North: Macclesfield 36-26 Hull
Hull suffered a third straight defeat in an entertaining match at Macclesfield. First half tries from Alex Piercy, Jamie Barnard and Mitchell Turner saw Hull lead 17-19 at the break. But a sole second half try from debutant Dominic Lespierre and three conversions from James Cameron ultimately resulted in a 36-26 win for the hosts.

27 September 2008 – North One: Darlington 8 – 22 Hull
Despite missing captain Chris Murphy with tonsillitis Hull won their third consecutive game to remain unbeaten. Winger Ade Wadforth scored after only two minutes and a further try from scrum half Chris Kendra converted by James Cameron saw Hull lead 12-8 at the break. In the second half two tries in two minutes from centre Mike Wood sealed the win for the visitors.
