New signing Bureta Faraimo got his time at Hull RUFC off to a winning start last week with a 32-27 win at Otley. It was his first competitive game back in rugby union, a sport he played with distinction back at school. He admits the version of the game he was brought up playing, has changed so much. The former Hull FC winger said he still has lots to learn while he adapts to the 15-man code. But his main priority this season is to enjoy himself.
”It’s been pretty tough switching from league to union,” Faraimo said.
”Technically, I still have a lot to learn.”
“I used to play union back at school, but the sport I played 10 years ago is not the same as what I play not.
“The boys have been helping me so much since I got here.
“I’m enjoying it and enjoying it is my number one goal.
“Last week, we got the win and that’s the best thing about that game.
“There are still plenty of things for us to work on which makes it even better.
“The boys mentioned the derby a long time ago and both sides will have circled this game when the fixtures came out.”
