So I’ve been playing the game since 14 – 18 years of my life dedicated to rugby and I couldn’t ask for a better club to finish at. Hull RUFC to me is home, it’s where my friends are, it’s where I played some of my best rugby, supported by top level players.
I was always gutted that my playing career ended with an injury and not on my own terms, but to get the club to National 1, by beating our local rivals in the last play of the game from a lineout.. pretty much a fairytale ending for me.
One, if not the highlight of my playing career is getting this club to National 1 because by right we never contemplated it, that team had more heart and desire than any other team I’ve been fortunate to play with.
I’ll be down to watch the boys play next year, it’ll be nice for me to have a pint watching the lads, stress free!
A big thank you to all the lads – all the coaching team – all the back room staff and supporters.. it’s been a hell of a ride!
