National 2 North leaders Hull RUFC travel to Fylde tomorrow looking for a win that will help edge them closer to the title. Gary Pearce knows that the home side are a good side, especially at home and his players will have to be at their very best if they are to notch another win. Pearce singled out two of their players who he feels are the best in the league at what they do.
“Fylde are very dangerous, and they are a good team on their own ground,” Pearce said.
“We have it all to play for because they probably have two of the best players in the league playing for them.
“Tom Carlton is exceptional at either centre or full-back, and David Fairbrother at number eight has been a really good player.
“We won’t take them lightly. We know they are a good side and we know they will be hard to beat.
“They go into the game on the back of a few wins so it will be tough.
“I know we have a lot to play for, but you can look at the table and think we just have to turn up and we’ll be alright.
“I don’t think we’ll have that problem this week at Fylde.”
