Will: We’ll Miss Loz, But It’s A Chance For Someone To Shine

Hull RUFC extended their lead at the top of National 2 North to 12 points with a resounding 50-22 win over Bournville. But the win came at a cost with Laurence Cowen suffering an elbow injury that could rule the back row forward out for the remainder of the season. He will join club skipper Ali Heard on the sidelines as the club push for promotion. Number eight Will Hall admits losing the experienced Cowen will be a blow, but his absence will offer an opportunity for someone to come in and make a name for themselves.

“It was a big shame to see fellow back row man Loz go down,” Hall said.
“He’s been great all year and makes a big difference to the team.
“It was great to get another bonus point win and kick on into next week on the road again.
“He will be a big miss in all aspects.
“But I’m sure whoever comes in will be raring to go and carry on the good work.
“It was great to get another bonus point win and kick on into this weekend’s game on the road to Loughborough Students.”
