Iosefo Turaga has wasted little time in settling into the Hull team. A try on his home debut, the centre has slotted into life in east Yorkshire very well and has helped them maintain top spot in National 2 North. Turaga has joined from Scottish side Marr Rugby and Hull are certainly benefiting from the switch to the south of the border and he thanks his team-mates for helping him settle into the squad easily especially with his family in Tonga recovering from the recent tsunami.
“I enjoy the atmosphere with the other players,” Turaga said.
“It was so good to get along with them so quickly which has helped me a lot to get settled and get up to speed.
“I was playing up in Scotland for Marr Rugby Club in the Premiership Cup and we were top of the league so my agent got me lined up to join Hull.
“I like how we socialise as a squad.
“My family are all back home in Tonga. When I was playing at Chester, I got a phone call from my mother to say that everything was okay.
“But I am lucky I have so many brothers to support me. Everything is good back in Tonga.
“Saturday was my first try for the club and I really enjoyed it.
“It’s a big push for me because every try I score, I like to improve my game even further.
“It always motivates me to keep pushing and get to the higher level I can get to.
“I’m at the right club and the right family and I’m so happy to be here.”
